Joni & Friend’s mission is to mobilize the church to evangelize, disciple and serve people living with disability. Each year this ministry hosts retreats around the country that offer special needs families a place to find rest, hope and renewal. Liberty has partnered with Joni & Friends for several years and annually sends volunteer teams to the family retreat at Maranatha Retreat Center in Muskegon, Michigan.
Team Description: Volunteers on this year’s team serve as companion and helper for attending special needs participants, assisting in programmed activities and interacting with families.
This trip is sponsored by LBC’s Special Needs ministry.
Participants must also complete additional application and background screening with Joni & Friends.
All giftings and abilities are encouraged to apply.
Volunteers can choose from three different weeks to serve:

June 9 – 14
June 16 - 21
